The Danish Championship could hardly have asked for a more dramatic conclusion.

Matteis Stigsen arrived at Jyllandsringen with a 12-point advantage over Richard Olson – but by the time the cars lined up for the final race, everything had changed.

Richard’s weekend got off to a difficult start when a technical issue left him P11 in qualifying, while Matteis secured P4.

But Richard immediately fought back.

In Race 1, Richard charged through to P3, with Matteis finishing P4. Then came Race 2 – and another P3 for Richard, while Matteis finished P8.

Suddenly, the championship lead had changed hands.

πŸ”₯ Going into the final race of the Danish Championship, Richard Olson held a narrow points advantage.

It all came down to one final heat.

And when the pressure was at its highest, Matteis delivered.

While Richard secured another strong P3, Matteis drove to victory in the final race, turning the championship around one last time.

🏁 P1 in the race. P1 in the Danish Championship.

After a season-long battle, Matteis Stigsen finishes the Danish Championship on 202 points, just 8 points ahead of Richard Olson on 194.

Nordic4 Powered by Aquila delivers at Rudskogen

Rudskogen, Norway – 9 August 2026

Nordic4 Powered by Aquila continued its Scandinavian tour with a fantastic race weekend at Rudskogen Motorsenter on 8–9 August. The fast, technical and demanding Norwegian circuit delivered exactly what the championship is all about – close racing, young talent and plenty of action.

At the front, Richard Olson #72 produced another impressive weekend, collecting 70 points. Elias Adestam #8 was also right in the fight with a strong 58 points, while Mads Hoe #47 scored 52 points. Rosanne den Drijver #3 added 37 points, followed by Matteis Stigsen #22 with 32 points.

The Rookie Championship was particularly close. Rosanne den Drijver topped the rookie scoring with 68 points, just ahead of Matteis Stigsen with 66, while Janine Wermuth #44 collected a strong 45 points.

With young drivers from Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands competing at one of Scandinavia's finest circuits, Rudskogen once again demonstrated what Nordic4 Powered by Aquila is built to be: a competitive and cost-effective development platform where young drivers can learn, improve and take the next step in their racing careers.

From racecraft and car setup to data, engineering and communication, every weekend adds another piece to their development.

Next stop: Grand Prix Danmark at Jyllands-Ringen – 21–23 August.

The Nordic4 battle continues. πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄πŸ
